- Parchment Paper – This is the best way to be able re-melt the white chocolate that drips off the cookie. It also makes the easiest removal of the completed cookies.
What You Need to Make Spider Web Cookies

Overview | How to Make No Bake Spider Cookies
The full printable recipe is below
- Melt the white chocolate.
- Design webs on cookie with melted chocolate.
- Let chocolate cool and harden.
Tips
- Allow excess chocolate to dry. Peel off of the parchment paper and re-melt as needed.
- Do not overheat chocolate. Stir well every 15 seconds as the heat of the melted chocolate will continue to melt remaining chocolate.
- When icing cookies, keep moving for the prettiest, most realistic webs.
How to Store
At Room Temperature – These are good to store at room temperature in a container for up to 3 days. Store in a single layer, or layer with wax paper or parchment paper after the chocolate has set.
Refrigerator – You can move these cookies to the fridge to store for up to 3 days as well. Keep in a container and use wax or parchment paper between layered cookies. The chocolate will be more brittle when it is cold and might break off when handled. So let it warm to room temperature before eating.
Frequently Asked Questions
Practice. You can draw a couple of circles right on your parchment paper and practice making the webs on those. And then you can reuse that chocolate once it has hardened. Once you’re good at your webs, then go for it on the Oreos! You’ll do great – and not all webs are perfect anyway!
Melting the chocolate depends on the size of your chocolate pieces and the power of your microwave. That’s why I recommend just heating for 15 seconds at a time and then removing chocolate and stirring. When you stir and there a few lumps remaining, just keep stirring and the warm chocolate will melt the rest of the lumps.
As for hardening, this partly depends on how warm/cool your kitchen is. But it should just take a few minutes for the chocolate to set.
