What You Need to Make Christmas Wreath Cookies
Butter – Salted or unsalted, your preference. You can learn the difference between salted and unsalted butter here.
Marshmallows – I prefer using miniature marshmallows because they melt faster and better.
Vanilla – A hint of vanilla gives them great flavor. You can use almond extract if you prefer.
Cornflakes – Unsweetened.
Green Food Coloring – Liquid or gel.
Red Candies – Miniature red candies. Red hots are traditional, but you can also use miniature M&M’s.
Variations
Add a Bow – Use licorice rope to make a bow for your cornflake wreaths.
Large Wreath – Want a single centerpiece? Create one giant wreath. Grinch – Scoop or roll into balls and add a red sprinkle on top.
Rice Krispies – You can make wreath cookies with rice krispies, they just don’t look quite as authentic.
Valentine’s Day – Use red food coloring and form heart shapes.
Easter – Use less green food coloring and pastel miniature candies to make an Easter wreath.
